6. Protection from retaliation

We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who makes a report in good faith. Disclosures may also be protected under the Protected Disclosures Act 26 of 2000.

7. What happens next

  • We will acknowledge your report within 2 business days, where you have given contact details.
  • The report will be assessed and, where appropriate, investigated fairly and impartially.
  • Where the law requires, matters will be reported to the relevant authority, including the Legal Practice Council or law enforcement.
  • We will give feedback where we reasonably can, although we may be limited by confidentiality or legal obligations.

8. Good faith

Please report only what you honestly believe to be true. Knowingly false or malicious reports may lead to action against the person who made them.
